Vault of Midnight

Vault of Midnight is a retail store that sells: Comic Books, Graphic Novels, Manga, All Ages, Board Games, Apparel, Plush and Art Toys. It was founded in 1996 and is now in 3 cities in Michigan – Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, and mostly recently, Detroit!

This started with two childhood friends with a dream and a comic book collection – Steve & Curtis. Their inspiration came from “a lifelong love of comic books and the founding of Image Comics in 1992.”

Why the North End? 

“The neighborhood and the building just felt right. The history and energy spoke to us. The people – the families and residents – the character and history of the buildings” are why they started their business in the Historic North End.

In 2022, make sure you don’t miss their events. They have Book of the Month, 28 Days of Black Comics every February, Board Game Nights, and Art Shows.
